STREAMLINING YOUR DIGITAL WORKFLOW WITH LIGHTROOM
One of the most exciting advances in digital photography recently has been the introduction of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. It is a soup-to-nuts program designed to get your RAW images processed and cataloged quickly. Now there is no need to cobble together a patchwork of programs, each designed to do just one task. Between Photoshop and Lightroom you can pretty much do it all.
Lightroom enables you to have the control of shooting RAW with the convenience of JPEG. It performs non-destructive changes to sidecar files and these changes can be batched to larger groups of images. You have the ability to pull an image into Photoshop for specific work, and then back into Lightroom. You can output to various file formats and sizes, all of which can be set up as presets to make your life easier.
It has very powerful tools for cataloging your entire image library. It has modules which allow you to print your images, create a slideshow, and make web galleries.

Long-time Pelham, NY resident Eric A. Wessman is active in the wedding, bar mitzvah, and portrait photography business, serving clients in Westchester and throughout the metropolitan New York area.
In his other life, Wessman does travel photography for commercial and editorial clients. He has traveled extensively, including 44 states and approximately 50 countries. Africa and Asia are his primary areas of interest. Over the years he has made 6 extended expeditions to Africa totaling almost 18 months on the continent. He is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School. His work is represented by three stock photography agencies.
